The Junior Bar of the prestigious Bar Association of Sri Lanka will be conducting their annual Junior National Law Conference this year from the 29th of November 2019 to 1st December 2019 at the Blue Water Hotel, Wadduwa.
The Junior Bar comprises of all Attorneys-At-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka who are members of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka and are yet to complete 10 years in practice. At present there are approximately 7,000 members of the Junior Bar who are professionally engaged in various spheres of the practice of Law.
The Junior National Law Conference, which is the most sought-after annual event of the calendar of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, will be held for the 19th consecutive year under the theme ‘e-JNLC 1.0 – Towards a Digital Era in the Legal Profession’.
The Conference is titled as “e-JNLC 1.0” which indicates the merge between technology and the legal field which will be brought into the Conference this time while computer programming language of binary codes have been used to derive the term ‘1.0’ in the conference title which indicates the first version of e-JNLC.
As a segment of e-JNLC 1.0 the Junior Bar also launched their own website on the 26th of September 2019 which was held at the Bar Association of Sri Lanka main auditorium with the presence of a number of distinguished guests from the legal fraternity.
