Apart from jingle bells and Santa Clause, the month of December was quite remarkable for Legistant with new faces and training.
Junior National Law Conference
We kicked off the month with the conclusion of Junior National Law Conference organized by the Junior Bar of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka where Legistant was the Gold Sponsor. The conference was true to its theme – towards a digital era in the legal profession. This is the very reason for which Legistant exists. The conference concluded with a panel discussion on ICT and Digitalization of the Legal Profession. Along with Mr. Jayantha Fernando, Mr. Senura Abeywardena and Mr. Dhanika Perera, Legistant Founder & CEO Akhila Wijetunga too contributed to this panel discussion under their specific areas of expertise.
The Junior National Law Conference 2019 or e-JNLC 1.0 was a great way for Legistant team to link with a number of notable individuals from the Legal fraternity of Sri Lanka – Junior as well as Senior and start on our vision of digitalizing the legal profession.
Training Sessions
We started off with a training to the lawyers at the Chambers of Mr. Kalinga Indatissa, the President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka. It was a valuable experience for us at Legistant as well as for the lawyers that were trained in understanding how Legistant could make their work more convenient by going digital. Our training showed the key features of Legistant such as case handling, document management, task scheduling, finance management and so on. Above all, we are focused on supporting convenience and work efficiency which is why we actively started working on adding some features, entirely cost-free, at the request of our client.
The second training session for the month was for the team of Lawyers at the Chambers of Mr. Kaushalya Nawaratne, the Secretary of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka. We grow along with our much-valued customers and feedback is of immense importance to us. Especially so that we may customize our digital service for your needs. Thus, we decided to add a couple of additional features into the system based on the requirements put forward by the team of Mr. Nawaratne.
Along with these training sessions, we were able to have productive discussions with a number of other senior lawyers and law firms as to how we could implement our solution to make their lives easier and efficient.
Until the next update, have a great time. Make sure to go digital this year and stay ahead in the game.
